ELT Group is attending the 2024 edition of the Farnborough International Airshow, from 22 to 26 July, with its innovative solutions in the field of electromagnetic spectrum operations in all operational domains. A constant activity in R&D is behind the technology trend that sees new solutions increasingly oriented to the needs of interoperability and integrated management of the electromagnetic spectrum across all operational domains, extending capabilities to space and cyberspace.

ELT Group is participating in ILA Berlin, the international aerospace event taking place this year from 5 to 9 June. For more than 70 years, ELT Group has been a world leader in Electronic Defense Systems. Thanks to innovative management of the electromagnetic spectrum, achieved through proprietary and integrated technologies, today the brand is an international Group with a multi-domain approach that also covers Cyber, Biodefense and Space, a domain in which the company moved in, with the first payload for ELectronic INTelligence activities, flying today in LEO (Low Earth Orbit) and dedicated to the collection of test data.

ELT Group participated in Tallinn at the 16th Cyber Conflict Conference: Over the Horizon, at NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE). During the event, the company demonstrated how electromagnetic defence is strategic, in a multi-domain context, to ensure the cyber resilience of critical civil and military infrastructures against cyber threats that exploit the electromagnetic spectrum, so-called CEMA (Cyber electromagnetic activities). The demonstration was realised thanks to Cy4gate’s Hybrid Digital Twin – Cyber Range that reproduced a realistic simulation of the network in combination with ELT’s electromagnetic defence systems in hardware-in-the-loop mode.

E4shield, the technology conceived, developed and patented by ELT Group that uses electromagnetic waves to inactivate respiratory viruses in the air, has been included and positively evaluated in the JRC – HERA technology foresight study. The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) provides scientific support to the European Union in defining future guidelines/regulations with the aim of improving quality of life, for example by supporting the development and implementation of innovative technologies. The report ‘Suppressing Indoor Pathogen Transmission: A Technology Foresign study’ includes E4shield as one of the innovative technologies to be considered in the EU’s future to ensure an increase in indoor air quality.

Following the signing of the contract between OCCAR and Naviris (a Fincantieri and Naval Group joint venture) for the Mid-Life Upgrade of the four Horizon-class units in service with the Italian and French navies, a sub-contract was signed in August 2023 between SIGEN (a consortium between Elettronica and Thales) and Naviris for the modernization of the Electronic Warfare (EW) system.
