ELT Group on Board the Italian Navy’s New DDG Destroyers

Following the Prime contract signing between OCCAR and Orizzonte Sistemi Navali, ELT Group announces its contribution to the Italian Navy’s new DDG Destroyers programme, developed through the collaboration of Fincantieri, Leonardo and MBDA.
ELT Group will equip the future vessels with a next-generation electronic warfare suite designed to enhance the protection of both the platform and the entire naval force in increasingly complex, multi-domain operational scenarios.

Elettronica Group and Indra work towards first European Quantum Cascade Laser based Infrared Counter Measure System dubbed EuroDIRQM.

Both companies work together to deliver a next generation fully European self-protection solution to defend any type of aircraft from heat guided missiles. They have successfully completed last march first operational ground tests with this new system. Quantum cascade is the latest development in laser technology and will reduce e energy consumption increasing speed and effectiveness to blind heat-guided missiles.
